If you are interested in architectural marvels, this private chauffeured limousine tour is especially for you. Taking part in it, you will have the opportunity to see Swidnica, a small town with a very interesting Evangelical Church of Peace, the largest timber-framed religious building of its kind in Europe. This beautifully decorated church, similarly to the church in the town of Jawor, was built after the Thirty-years’ war as a manifestation of a limited religious tolerance in the Catholic Habsburg monarchy. In 2001 these special churches were added to the UNESCO list.
The next impressive edifice is the magnificent basilica located in Wambierzyce, also called the Silesian Jerusalem. In Wambierzyce everything was supposed to be made like the Holy Land; there are hills called Sion, Tabor, and the local brook is called Cedron. One of the greatest of Wambierzyce’s attractions is the spectacle of the biggest Polish nativity play – a mobile mechanism made of 800 wooden figures. As a bonus you will also visit the picturesque mediaeval town of Zabkowice Slaskie with the most famous Polish leaning tower. The return to Wroclaw is scheduled in the late afternoon.
