Kiermusy is a picturesque place in Podlasie region, offering tourists a perfect rest in a harmony with nature, among greenery, far from everyday life troubles.
Tykocin commune is famous both for its colorful history and for its riches. Many coin-collectors managed to enrich their collections searching through the area of Tykocin and Kiermusy. Kiermusy offers also other attractions. There are: five wooden houses (the so called Dworskie Czworaki), a manor house, an inn, a pool, a SPA resort, a holiday house called Domek Rasputina (English: Rasputin’s House), a bridge on the Narew River, reconstructed Polish-Russian frontier from 1832, as well as Jantarowy Kasztel castle from the 15th century.
In April 2008 the first private European bison pen, the so called Ostoja Żubra (English: European bison reserve), came into existence. The herd totals as many as five European bisons. Except for them, the reserve is populated with fallow deer, sheep, Vietnamese pigs, goats and asses.
