The luxurious Grand Hotel Stamary in Zakopane is the most beautiful hotel in the town and is situated in the centre, 300m from Krupówki Street.
Its history reaches back to the beginning of the 20th century and is inseparably connected with that of Maria Budziszewska; singer, hotel owner, society patron and politician who was born on November 27th 1872 in ‘Podole’ (in a part of Russia, previously part of Poland) and died in Zakopane on January 29th 1942.
The Hotel had its grand opening in May of 1905 and quickly gained a reputation as the most prestigious hotel in Zakopane – taking this honour away from the Morskie Oko Hotel which had opened a few years earlier.
