Polish trains on intercity routes are at a relatively acceptable European level (in terms of comfort and safety). The railway network is much more extensive in the west of the country than in the east. From Warsaw you can reach the other main cities within 2-6 hours and prices per person range from 15-50 EUR depending on the distance and the train classification.
PKP (Polskie Koleje Panstwowe) is a state-controlled railway company. The schedules, in Polish, are on www.pkp.pl (official website). The schedule of intercity routes and sale of e-tickets (selected connections only, more languages available) are on www.intercity.pl.
Most people prefer a printed ticket as a more secured option. It is advisable to buy tickets earlier, because the popular connections may get booked out in high season. If you use our service, we will gladly help you make your travel arrangements smoother and more comfortable.
We charge a 50 PLN service fee for each ticket reservation (regardless of the total number of tickets) and the delivery to your hotel in Warsaw or sending by post to your home address. The railway ticket purchase option is available only as an add-on for customers who have reserved a Tailor-made tour (including city breaks).
If you want to tour Poland extensively and do not wish to rent a car or hire chauffeured transport, we can put together a rail tour of Poland. Check the proposed itineraries below and ask for a free quote through request a tour form.
